A safe home for every young person
During National Homelessness Week, every dollar you donate will be matched – meaning your generosity goes twice as far for children and young people in crisis.
From crisis to care
On any given night, 11,900 children and young people are homeless and on their own, relying on specialist services to stay safe – and that number grows every year.
No child or young person should have to make an impossible choice: stay in a violent home or become homeless. But there is a powerful way you can help.
By donating today you will connect children and young people in need with practical care and specialist support. Plus, thanks to our generous matching partners, your donation will be doubled, meaning TWICE as many young lives changed.
Don't miss out. Donations are still matched!
Thank you to our kind supporters!

Every day across Australia, children and young people are experiencing homelessness, family violence and disadvantage.
But with the right support, at the right time, every young person has the potential to thrive.
Ryan's story
Facing violence at home, Ryan stayed out late every night, doing whatever he could to delay returning to danger.
Then Ryan found himself become the primary carer and provider for his younger siblings during his parents’ challenging divorce. He was still just a teenager.
Through our outreach program, he found support and a community he could rely on when things felt overwhelming. Staff organised counselling sessions, educational support and rental assistance.
With practical help and ongoing care, Ryan was able to finish his HSC and begin building a brighter future.
Jenny's story
Growing up without stability or guidance from her parents, Jenny turned to substance misuse and became disengaged from school.
Over two years, Jenny worked with our team to stop her substance misuse and plan her return to school. Beyond the programs, Jenny also received practical, individualised help. “Staff drove me to school when I couldn’t get there any other way. It was a big help to get a lift.”
The consistent influence and support from Youth Off The Streets enabled Jenny to complete Year 12 and she has since gone on to further study, a Diploma of Beauty Therapy at TAFE.
Georgia's story
Without a stable place to live, Georgia was constantly moving between friends' couches and struggled to stay in school.
Georgia stayed at our crisis accommodation for a few months and then, with the help of her caseworker, moved into transitional accommodation. That helped her get used to living independently.
With safe accommodation and ongoing support, she was able to focus on her future, instead of simply surviving.
“Today, I’m living in my own place. I’m applying to go to university and become a nurse. I never thought this would be possible."
Young people in crisis need your help today
Because of you, young people like Ryan, Jenny and Georgia are finding safety, support and a future beyond survival.
This Giving Day, will you join us again to help even more young people make that same journey from crisis to care?
Thank you to our generous matching partners!
